The challenge

Climate change rewrote the Karst's fire regime. The old playbook no longer holds.

The catastrophic fires of summer 2022 burned for days across the Italy–Slovenia border. Karst Firewall 5.0 answers with a shared, cross-border system: ecosystem-based adaptation, satellite data, predictive AI, field sensing and simulation — built so first responders, authorities and communities on both sides work from the same picture.

In the spirit of Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0, Karst Firewall does not replace the people who protect the Karst — it stands beside them, quietly amplifying the everyday work of prevention. Satellites, IoT sensors, AI and the digital twin are fused with the land and its communities, keeping human judgement and a living ecosystem at the centre: powerful where it matters, simple to use — technology and nature working as one.

Why a Karst index

Generic fire-danger maps miss the Karst. So we built one that doesn't.
